2013 News

Our next event is the Redwood Acres Fair Show!  Click here for the entry form.  Please read the deadline dates and instructions to save on late fees.  This is double judged show sponsored by Redwood Acres and Humboldt Bay Horse Club.  Please fill out both entry forms with appropriate fees.  Include the $5.00 drug fee on the Redwood Acres Entry form only.  Please turn everything into the Redwood Acres Fair office.  If you have any questions, Redwood Acres staff or any HBHC club officer should be able to help you out or direct you in the right direction for assistance.  Morgan Johnson has volunteered as Show Secretary with help from her mom and other club members.  Remember to thank them.  Have a great show everyone!

This show season comes with the addition of new categories to appeal to diverse groups of equestrians in our area. There is the Dressage Suitability in hand and all ages on the rail division. Country Casual is a more relaxed division that can be shown in English or Western attire which includes a specialty fun class, western pleasure, western horsemanship, and trail.

We have created a very unique halter class called Pasture Pals which is open to any breed of horse despite lameness, age, deformities, blemishes etc. The horse and handler will be judged on their presentation, grooming (braiding and clipping optional) and manners, not soundness. This class is designed for you to show off that special horse in your life.

Be sure to become a member of the HBHC to ensure that the points that you earn during the show season will count towards high point year end awards. Click here for the membership form!

Looking forward to seeing you in the show ring!__________________________________________________________
